Dress Code
There was a time when every season became a dance. Public occasions and private events invited people to unleash their creativity, as in fashion as in manners. We no longer dressed just out of necessity, but to want to offer a story about ourselves. Men adorned the scene with top hats, tuxedos and refined elegance. Likewise, women were not satisfied with being seen: they wanted to be remembered.
The newfound joy and reborn optimism were reflected in the novelty of the style, which now became dazzling and at the same time a spokesperson for ideas. Increasingly bright colors and unexpected risks were combined with enormous hats topped with eccentric ostrich feathers. Dance was no longer just the topic of the show, but the ability to exhibit unprecedented audacity in extravagance, thus overcoming the limits and obscurity of the past.
This was the famous period of La Bella Epoque, the "Splendid Era", or the Golden Age, as it is also remembered, for the charge of enthusiasm and splendour with which it was able to renew the hearts of men.
It happened over a century ago, and we, dear friends, invite you today to wear your own personal story.
